Golden Girls trivia - huh-whaaaaat!?

Golden Girls trivia - huh-whaaaaat!?

I’m going to be honest; I did NOT feel like going out yesterday. I was home, in my house with a hoodie and some sweatpants on, feeling pretty effing tired as a result of a 2 year old who is extraordinarily unpredictable when it comes to sleep. Seriously, EVERY SINGLE NIGHT is a wild card.

I had plans to go to see Golden Girls Happy Hour Trivia at Rue La Rue Cafe with a friend of mine. I knew I’d have fun and I was very much looking forward to the trivia, laughs and being around a group of people who appreciated the jokes and references as much as I do, so I went.

I was not disappointed.

For the most part, although fierce competition was in the air, it felt as if everyone was really united by this amazing show, timeless references and three very warm and engaging gals: The Golden Gays of NYC. Some may read that and not get why that would give such a good feeling, but IT DOES! You wouldn’t believe how uncommon it is to find other people who are as obsessed with that show as I am! (Or maybe you would – what the hell do I know?)

There will be more dates coming up: Sunday, November 19 at 5:00PM & December 17 at 5:00PM. It’s $20 to play all rounds (there was 4 or 5) or you could just sit in for 1-2 of them for under $10. There is also some singing (all songs you will undoubtedly know from the show), a raffle and prizes for the winners of each round. I’m not sure I will be able to go to the next one, but I will certainly try!

Aside from having a good time, the food is pretty amazing. Pictured here is the Brassy Brownie and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Alexa and I are also sporting the “…cuter than an interuterine” tees! The picture is linked to my Etsy shop.

In friendship and cheesecake,
